This morning we took a boat trip along the coast and visited eight of the Colanques, the series of rocky cliffs and bays between Cassis and Marseille. Some of the Colanques have swimming beaches or fishing villages and we saw people sailing, kayaking, swimming, walking, sunbathing, fishing and climbing.
The water is so clear you can see the seabed and fish.
We arrived back in Cassis and had lunch and a relaxing afternoon before our flight home tomorrow.
Out later for our last dinner in France.

Bonnieux to Cassis
We're in Cassis, a small port town 20 km east of Marseille on the French Riviera.
We dropped Cherry and Karin at Marseille airport this morning and then, because we had lots of time, deliberately avoided tolls roads and motorways to get to Cassis, a drive that took us past the Marseille port and through some of the less salubrious parts of the city. We were still early into Cassis so we went to the next town along the coast, La Ciotat.
Then back to Cassis and we checked into our fabulous apartment overlooking the port. Here's the view from our window followed by photos inside the apartment and views to it from the port.
Went for a walk around the port for a look at the town, the beach and the castle above the town before lunch at one of the many fish restaurants.
Visited one of the Calanques, a series of rocky cliffs and bays between here and Marseille, and watched boys diving into the sea.
Went back to same restaurant for dinner. I don't think the fisherman we passed on the way caught our fish.
